1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is wet-dry is fitted with the company's upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that offers better mapping and obstacles avoidance. The system uses dual laser LiDAR, similar to that found in self-driving vehicles. It can scan an area that is up to 32 feet by 270 degrees. This results in more precise mapping, quicker response times, and higher cleaning accuracy.

It also has a rotating mopping pad constructed of chenille, which makes it easier to scrub hard spots as opposed to traditional mopping. In my tests, the X2 Omni took just over a minute to clean its pad and begin work, and I noticed it was more precise than previous models that were able to follow a grid-like route around rooms. It was capable of navigating my room's with its corners and edges as well as create a "Zambani pattern" up and down the center of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station frequently to empty the dustbin, and clean the mop with hot water before beginning another task of cleaning.

The main drawback of the T10 Omni is that it's unable to switch from mopping to vacuuming in one run. The T10 Omni has two modes that require you to attach mop heads to and from the vacuum according to your needs. However, the Deebot T10 Omni is a fantastic robot vacuum that delivers outstanding results in our tests for pet hair. It was able to remove more than 96% debris from our hardwood floors. This robot mop and vacuum comes with large docking stations which offers cool water cleaning for the mop pads, and auto-emptying into a 3L bag that's simple to replace, and hot air drying for quick and simple maintenance. These buttons can be used to establish areas that aren't allowed to enter and access real-time maps. It's also a bit chatty and will let you know what it's planning to do next (start cleaning) or notify you when something isn't right.

4. ILIFE A4s

This model is high-tech and sucks up pet hair, kibble, and other debris with top-notch performance and is able to effortlessly maneuver around furniture legs. It also has an impressive feature set that includes two cleaning modes and a self-emptying dock and a real-time obstacle avoidance system. It is Wi-Fi-enabled and is best controlled through the Neato app, where cleanings can be scheduled and the overall maintenance needs be monitored. The X2 Omni is a great option for homes with large spaces that have a mix of hard and carpet floors. However, it will need some planning in advance to avoid getting entangled with electrical cables, toys or other unintentional obstructions.

The robot performed well in our tests of hardwood floors and kibble. It was able to pick up everything from one rice grain to a variety of pet food pieces in only one sweep. It had some trouble transitioning to rugs, but in general this vacuum cleaner is ideal for rooms that have flooring of all kinds and a variety of pets.

The A4s Pro is expensive but it's an excellent purchase for those who want to be able to leave the house hands-free so they can get out and do other things or do chores. The A4s Pro also offers a handy auto cleaning mode that increases suction power to deal with difficult spills and dirt, and it includes an electric ElectroWall that lets you set boundaries that the robot isn't allowed to be allowed to enter.

This budget-friendly option from a popular upstart brand is the cheapest model we've tested to date and offers an exceptional value for the cost. The basic navigation system is based on a basic random pathing algorithm and it lacks the ability to map rooms. This makes it less efficient than other models in this list. It's still able to navigate under furniture and into the corners. Mopping mode performed well in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ might not be as sturdy, but it is better in cleaning pet hair off all surfaces. It does a better job of cleaning carpets with low piles and bare floors. It also utilizes smart-pathing navigational software for greater maneuverability. It can be positioned to a specific location, and has a suite of Roborock S7 Max Ultra: Advanced Robot Vacuum Cleaner automation options, including no-go zones and schedules. It lets you stop and restart cleaning sessions making it ideal for homes with pets.

The self-cleaning brushroll eliminates tangles and can carry up to 30 day's worth of dirt. It also has an assortment of angled side brushes that penetrate into corners and its multi-stage filter system is able to capture dust, dander and allergens for a cleaner air.

The robot vacuum is built well and feels solid. It works with an app for smartphones which lets you alter the vacuum's settings and schedule cleaning times ahead of time. The app allows you to view the remaining battery life of the iQ and also receive push notifications when it encounters any issues during the cleaning session. You can utilize your voice to control the device using an Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant device or, if you don't have either, you can mark off zones with physical boundary strips.

The iQ is great for cleaning floors that aren't clean and it does an adequate job with shaggy and low-pile carpets. However, it doesn't offer the same level of autonomy as our top selections. It's also expensive and its ongoing costs can add up over time.
