The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

For pets with shedding fur A robot vacuum/mop set-up is one of the best floor cleaning solutions. This machine can mop, vacuum and clean its own mop pad with dual mop pads.

It also has 8,000Pa suction, the highest of any Deenkee Robot Vacuum: Powerful Quiet WiFi-Enabled Cleaning we've evaluated. It can also save maps of your home and create cleaning schedules through its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the most recent in the Ecovacs range of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This model that is dry and wet comes with the upgraded AIVI 3D2.0 lidar system from Ecovacs, which provides enhanced mapping and obstruction-free operation. The system is equipped with dual laser LiDAR, which is similar to that found in self-driving vehicles. It can scan an area up to 32 feet by 360 degrees. That translates into more precise mapping, quicker response times, and better cleaning accuracy.

It also has an adjustable mopping pad made of chenille fabric. This makes it much easier to scrub difficult areas more effectively unlike traditional mopping. In my tests, the X2 Omni washed its pad in just a few seconds and got to work. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models, which seemed to follow a grid around rooms. It was capable of navigating my room's by the corners and edges as well as make an "Zambani pattern" that ran up and down the center of the room. It returned to its OMNI Station frequently to empty the dust bin and clean the mop with hot water prior to beginning another cleaning task.

Like other Ecovacs products the X2 Omni is easy to set up and start using. Snap the dock into position then plug it in and pair it with your WiFi network at home. It only takes about a minute. You can then launch the app to start your first cleaning project. I was able to dive into the settings and personalize my floor plan within about 15 minutes, including creating restricted areas to sweep and mop, reworking my wall-mounted furniture placements, and so on. The X2 Omni performed admirably during my tests. It scored well in the areas of pet hair removal and debris removal, and also had near-perfect results for edge and crevices cleaning.

The EcoVACS T10 Omni is a powerful mopping and vacuum machine. It is the most advanced model of the T-line of the brand and comes with a new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system that uses dual-spinning brushes for better cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbers. It also comes with YIKO integrated, a first-of-its kind natural language processing technology that allows it to respond to a range of voice commands. The ECOVACS App allows you to plan your home, make cleaning schedules and modify settings.

The main flaw of the T10 Omni is that it cannot switch between mopping and vacuuming in one run. The two modes require that you attach and take off the mop heads according to the need, which is fine for most homes, but not suitable for people who lead busy lives.

The Deebot T10 is a fantastic robot vacuum that delivers impressive results. It was able to vacuum up more than 96% of the particles we threw at it on our hardwood flooring, which is an outstanding performance. It did an excellent job on carpets and tiles, removing 99% of dirt.

This robotic mop and vacuum has large docking stations that offers cool water cleaning for the mop pads, auto-emptying into a 3L plastic bag that's simple to replace, and hot-air drying for quick and simple maintenance. It also has a huge water tank that permits more frequent rinses and dries between mopping runs.

Like other mopping machines like the Deebot T10 Omni, it comes with a wash tray at its base that rinses and dry its mop pads as it uses them. It doesn't have a tray that can be removed, which means that dirt, dust and other grime will slowly build up in the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

This is the first mopping model from Anker, which is known for its robot vacuums. It offers upgraded smarts, multiple maps support, and LIDAR scanning, as well as twin turbine suction technology that adjusts to the floor you're cleaning. It's a great mid-range robotic vacuum cleaner however it doesn't exactly live up to its promise of being an all-in-one solution for floor cleaning.

The X8 Hybrid appears to be a standard robotic cleaner from the top. It is a circular design with sweeper wheels and a raised sensor area. On the other side there's a motorized floorbrush as well as a single side brush that pushes dust from the edges to the main artery of its' mouth.' It's a bit smaller than the main brushes on the competing iRobot Roomba S9, which I found makes it easier to get under chairs and sofas.

Its mapping system lets you set up no-mop areas and specific cleaning zones. It has a habit of bumping into things, including its own charging station, and isn't great in climbing over carpets. It was effective in collecting pet hair off carpets. In our tests it was able to pick up 89.5 percent of cat litter.

The X8 Hybrid is controlled via an app, however it also has a set of physical buttons at its base. These buttons let you choose the cleaning mode, or turn the robot on/off. These buttons can be used to establish zones that are not allowed to be visited and to view real-time maps. It's also a little chatty and will let you know what it's planning to do next (start cleaning) or notify you when something isn't right.

4. ILIFE A4s

This model is high-tech and sucks up pet hair, kibble and other particles with top-quality effectiveness and effortlessly moves around furniture legs. It comes with a feature set that is impressive, including two cleaning modes, an automatic docking station, and a real-time obstacle avoidance system. It is Wi-Fi-enabled and is best controlled using the Neato app which allows cleaning to be scheduled and overall maintenance needs monitored. The X2 Omni is an excellent choice for homes that have a hardwood carpet and floors, but it requires some advanced planning to avoid getting stuck on power cords, toys or other obstacles that might be unexpected.

In our hardwood floor and kibble tests, this robot performed well and picked up everything from one grain of rice to multiple pieces of dog food in one pass. It did have some issues with rugs however, generally the vacuum cleaner is ideal for large rooms that have both types of flooring as well as a mix of pets.

The A4s Pro is a bit expensive, but it's a great option for those who wish to to leave the house without hands so that they can take on other tasks or perform household chores. The A4s Pro also offers a handy auto cleaning mode that increases suction power to deal with tough dirt and spills, and it includes batteries that power the ElectroWall that lets you place boundaries where the robot is not allowed to be allowed to enter.

This budget-friendly model from a well-known brand is the most affordable robot we've ever tested and provides an incredible value for price. The basic navigation system employs an extremely basic random pathing algorithm, but it doesn't have room mapping capabilities, making it less time efficient than the other models on this list. It's still able get under furniture and in the corners. Mopping mode performed well in our tests, picking up stray hair and other debris.

5. Shark iQ

Shark's iQ may not be as well-built as the Roomba S9, but it does better overall at cleaning up pet hair on all surfaces. It is more effective of cleaning carpets with low piles as well as bare floors. It also uses smart-pathing navigational software for greater mobility. It also allows you to send it to a specific room, and its sophisticated suite of automation features includes no-go zones and scheduling. It allows you to suspend and resume cleaning sessions, making it perfect for homes that have pets.

Its self cleaning brushroll prevents tangles and can carry up to 30 days of dirt. It comes with angled side brushes to reach into corners, as well as a multi-stage filter system to capture dust, allergens and dander.

The iQ robot vacuum is well-built and feels solid. It is compatible with an app for smartphones which lets you alter the settings of your vacuum and schedule cleaning sessions ahead of time. The app allows you to view the remaining battery life of the iQ and receive push notifications if it encounters any issues during the cleaning session. You can control it with your voice with an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don't own either of these devices, you can mark areas with physical boundary markers strips.

The iQ can do a decent job of cleaning flooring and doing a good job with shaggy and low-pile carpet, but it doesn't have the same level of autonomy as our top selections. It's also expensive and the recurring expenses can add up over time.
