1. Roborock S8+

Roborock S8+, a robot vacuum for carpets vacuum cleaner and mop with numerous features, is among the top-rated robots. The Roborock S8+'s performance in our tests - including carpet deep cleaning - was sufficient to make our new scoring system the number one spot. Its major improvements over its predecessors include DuoRollers that reliably help hair and dirt to the suction hatch of the vacuum and object recognition, which makes it less likely to become entangled in cables.

This model is extremely customizable and allows you to set specific days when it will run and to customize the mopping settings and the vacuuming settings for each room in your home. You can also use the app to determine different levels of agitation for your carpets, as well as to determine if the robot should mop or vacuum only and what the default mode is for each kind of flooring.

The app has five different suction power options (Quiet, Balanced Turbo, Max and Max+), as well as mopping options for each floor. The app is simple to use, and the settings are clearly laid out. You can also create a customized schedule for your floors or make it follow a pin that you place on the map. The S8+ can map up to four levels of your home.

The S8+ sets up easily and the base station is snagged together securely. The robot creates a map of your house in less than a minute, which is faster than any other model we've evaluated. The map is updated regularly and ensures that the robot is able to discover every space and corner of your home. The S8+ also works with Alexa or Google Assistant. This means that you can control the device with your voice. You can also download the no-cost Roborock app to set up your cleaning schedule and track usage stats. The app will notify you when the dust bag is full. This is an excellent feature that can save you from having it emptied manually!
