Alex the African Grey Parrot

When animal psychologist Irene Pepperberg entered a Northwest Side pet shop in 1977 and bought an obnoxious one-year-old blue african grey parrot grey parrot named Alex and began a 30-year experiment that changed the way we view avian intelligence.
