The official list below only shows time slots reserved not confirmed exams. Please confirm with your instructor if the final exam for a course will be conducted during this time.

Locations

The Exam Schedule lists the locations in which DEP conducts operator qualification exams. Please consult individual exam pages for additional guidelines, terms and conditions and exam content. If you require special accommodations due to chronic illness or hearing or visual impairment, please contact the exam provider directly and make sure to provide detailed documentation when you register.

The Faculty Dashboard in Workday has the option of "View My Teaching Schedule" which lets faculty locate their exam schedules. In addition, the Registrar's Office has a list of exam times for courses in which an exam is required by NYSED regulations. Final exams for classes that are held in the evenings are scheduled for the regular class time of the final examination weeks.

Registration

The exam schedule is accessible online and students are encouraged to review it. However it is important to keep in mind that the final exam schedule may alter at any moment. Students should therefore inquire with their instructors for the correct time and date of their exam. Students should be certain to print the official list and bring it to their exams.

In addition to the exam schedule, students should familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines, terms and conditions. These can be found on the webpage for each exam. Students acknowledge they have read and agreed to the terms and conditions upon registration.

Exam locations make every effort to accommodate students who have special requirements. The nature and severity of these requirements must be stated on the registration form and confirmed by an attestation of a doctor. In addition the exam sites must be kept confidential.

If a student has three examinations scheduled for the same day, it is suggested to contact their department or instructor to schedule a make-up exam. It is possible to have three examinations on the same day. However, this could lead to a high level of stress and affect the quality of the exam. The professor may not be able to offer an additional test to make up for the missed day.

Students should review the course material prior to taking the exam and practice their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test that tests your ability to read, speak, and write German. The test results are given using a scale of kategoria a1 to C2. Students who succeed in passing the test are awarded the Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate documents attainment of the language level Kursy motocyklowe a1. This level corresponds with the first level of the six-level scale of competency set out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The exam is free of charge. Students must bring a valid government issued ID to the test. Those who do not have a valid photo ID are disqualified from the exam.

Fees

If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to receive a Goethe-Zertifikat egzaminowanie kategorii a1 (start German 1), you will need to pay the exam fee. This is in addition to the course fee.

Practice assessments provide you with an overview of the format, wording and level of questions on the test. They can help you evaluate your understanding, find gaps and increase your chances of passing the exam.

Please note that the exam fee isn't refundable. The results of the examination are only available via email and not by phone.
