We consulted Ladina Schopf - interior designer, architect and founder of LS Projects - for her tips on how to select the right one. They considered the capacity of storage, layout and energy efficiency as well as other features.

GE Profile Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Like the name suggests, GE's Profile series targets those who want to incorporate cutting-edge technology in their kitchen. This refrigerator has it all, from the Keurig K cup coffee maker on the door, to a clever dispenser of water. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This refrigerator is costly and I expected more.

This fridge is a good option, despite the slight blip. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Furthermore, it holds a fair amount of frozen foods in comparison to similar models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment has 18.5 cubic feet, which is the standard for a fridge with a french style fridges door at this price. It also has a decent-sized icemaker packed into the left door, but it isn't the largest I've seen.

You can adjust the shelving in both compartments to create customized storage arrangement for the items you need to store. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. Its LED lighting is a nice touch and the inside storage bins have a third shelf that folds down to allow you to store items that are tall. The drawers include temperature controls that let you set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, but I found their plastic textured coatings to be a bit difficult on the fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the full suite of features you'd expect from a fridge at this price, [empty] including Wi-Fi and app support through GE's SmartHQ software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices can let you control your fridge from anywhere in the world, and offers a ton of customization options. It will also send you notifications when the door is left unlocked and when the freezer or fridge needs to be defrosted, and when the filter needs to be changed.

It is nice if GE PYE22PYNFS could offer Precise Fill, an option found in a few GE refrigerators that allows users to select the amount of cups they wish to disperse. The fridge shows a countdown to display how much water is left, but it's not as useful as Precise Fill.

Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

Designed to look like a seamless piece of your kitchen Bosch's french style fridge freezer plumbed door refrigerator is one of a kind. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also features a veggie compartment which keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer and dual compressors to preserve food. The ice maker is one of the best we've ever tested and produces pyramid-shaped ice with a low water consumption. This fridge is ideal for a single family or kitchenette that needs an elegant design and top of the best food preservation.

This refrigerator was the highest-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators test, for a few reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at just a few degrees Fahrenheit, and never changing by more than a fraction a degree--this is key in preventing freezing burn. The fridge's refrigerator section also performed well, achieving the desired initial set temperature within a matter of hours and [Redirect Only] keeping that temperature steady over the course of our testing.

Bosch is a household name for its high-end appliances. Therefore, it's not a surprise that the Bosch counter depth refrigerator can be connected to your home Wi Fi and Bosch's Home Connect. The app allows you to monitor and control your refrigerator remotely from your tablet or smartphone. The refrigerator is expensive, but it offers excellent features and functionality for the price.

While the fridge is an incredible appliance but it's important to be aware of the limitations. It is possible to be creative with tall items because the fridge is limited in shelf space. The shelves aren't spillproof and can easily be stained or damaged by sharp objects. The trays can be easily removed from the fridge. However, they must be cleaned regularly to prevent the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth french fridge freezers uk Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth fridge is a great choice for those who need plenty of space in an extremely compact frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge features the standard French door design, and two rows of spill-capture shelving and a set crisper drawers. The top right shelf can be folded down to give tall items more space. There's also a full-width storage drawer for food items and an internal water dispenser.

One of the great things about this refrigerator is that its ice maker is in the freezer, which makes it simple to move frozen ice to the fridge to be used when it is required. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, for instance, sliding drawers to help you better organize the position of items. It has a large bin for storing frozen food, and a separate bin for ice.

The doors pose a problem with this refrigerator. The handles with a sunken design let shorter people open them from the bottom. However taller people will have a difficult time closing them without slamming them. It would have been much better if they had front-mounted handle.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is a great choice for those looking to blend the look of a French door refrigerator with more efficient design. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model and it cools evenly and has a great layout. It's also a bit less than the top counter-depth refrigerator that has an ice maker, which can make it a desirable choice.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

If you're looking for an french door Fridge freezer with water Dispenser door fridge that doesn't cost a fortune, this Frigidaire is a good choice. It's a minimalist design that's not as striking visually like some of the competitors, but it has enough features to make it a solid choice. Its most notable feature is the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food like vegetables and meat fresher for longer. It also has a large water dispenser, as well as an excellent ice machine that works fast.

Another feature that is worth mentioning is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. This drawer lets you divert part of the fridge's cooling power directly to this area, which means you can put away food items that need extra attention. This feature can be adjusted by using a slider located outside the drawer. You can also alter the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've noticed that the generic settings are more effective than the specific ones.

In my experiments, I noticed that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent across different parts of the fridge. The temperatures in the top and bottom of the fridge didn't stray significantly from 38 degrees, and the middle of the fridge was within a degree of 36. This is a pretty good performance however it doesn't rank among the best in our rankings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also connect this fridge to a smart thermometer for more precise readings of your fridge's internal temperature.

The exterior of the Frigidaire is made of grey-bodied stainless that has a "smudge proof" finish. It does a great job of repelling fingerprints and streaks even when compared to the glossier stainless steel finishes on other appliances I've tried.
