Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly known as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment increases the stats linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain an indicator of the level of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling items increases with their rarity and item level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to increase the stats of your weapon and armor. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways such as using upgrade components or increasing an item's rarity or mark level. A lot of items can be reforged to boost their stats.

Upgradable items can be found in the game, both around the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. upgrade items components are the most common way to upgrade equipment. These are items that can be inserted into equipment. Most equipment comes with upgrade slots, and the majority require a certain upgrade level. Some upgrade components offer specific bonuses, while other components offer a general bonus.

There are many types of upgrade components available in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions, and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments, are able to be placed in any kind of equipment and offer less bonuses than those that are type specific. Glyphs are only available in gathering tools. They provide a variety bonuses, ranging from boosting the speed at which an item gathers to providing additional crafting materials.

To upgrade an item, simply select it in your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. The window will show a preview on the right side of the screen showing the expected stats after the upgrade, and any materials or components required. If you don't have enough of either, the Upgrade button will say Blocked.

The amount of upgrade components required for a given item upgrader is displayed in the upper-right corner of the window for upgrading. The cost of an upgrade increases depending on the level of the upgrade and Item upgrade its rarity, but it can be reduced by a variety of ways, such as purchasing upgrades at a merchant or trading them with other players.

Most weapons can be upgraded by a prefix upgrade, such as an insignia or rune, and many can be upgraded with suffix upgrades. These upgrades change the name of the item and add an adjective, such as "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor. There are some exceptions, however. the noninscribable wands, foci and shields from the Prophecies and Factions campaigns, that cannot be upgraded using any mods.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to convey information via visuals. They move to catch the attention of the viewers and trigger curiosity in the brain. The glyphs' animation mimics the body language and makes them more effective in transmitting the message of a language barrier. Glyphs can also trigger a feeling of familiarity in the brain, thereby increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph increases a stat's value by a certain range. This is clearly displayed on the item, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This isn't the exact amount at the glyph can increase the stat, but rather the maximum value by which it can increase a stat. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and quality of the item you are enchanting it to.

Most upgrade components inserted into items can't be replaced or salvaged without dismantling the equipment in question, unless it is legendary equipment and upgrades. If, however, you have a non-useful rune or glyph that has not yet been applied to your equipment, you can transfer it to a different piece of equipment by utilizing the Upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

If you wish to remove the glyph from an item you must salvage it with an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. This will destroy the item within which it is placed, but you can recover the upgraded item by using the glyph and its shards therefore, it shouldn't be considered as a loss.

If you take an item upgrader kit off after putting a glyph on it, the shards of the glyph will disappear. You can also place an inscription to your equipment to increase its value. Reroll tokens

The developers have no plans to implement paid rerolls at this stage in the game's development. Instead, they plan to include a race change potion in the near future.

Leveling

There are many ways to level up an item upgrade. The first method of leveling up an upgrade to an item is by increasing the upgrade amount. This boosts the value of an upgrade for the stat. The second option is to increase the effect of an upgrade, which can increase damage or healing for the stat. Additionally there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to a higher upgrade type. The new item will retain its iLevel, but will have the upgraded effects of the upgraded item.
