World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. They also increase bonuses, such as crit chance and PvE damage.

If the template for upgrading a weapon ends in %, it will increase 3percent of its previous damage every time it's upgraded.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained through crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades can also be accompanied by special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can only be applied to equipment that has a slot. The item must be upgraded to a blue level before a component can be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix that alters the name of the item to which it is used (for examplefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia" becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to create stronger versions of that equipment using less Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or Item Upgrades armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by buying them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals each.

The player can have up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-level version of the item will appear in the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will improve after a future reset.

The process of upgrading an item could be expensive, and it is possible that the item will become obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can increase or even eliminate the chance of failure, as well as a few upgrades that give the benefit of being reinserted into an item level upgrade.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within a radius around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

In the final game you'll often discover that the most effective way to upgrade your gear is by placing Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded directly to level 15, and Item upgrades they provide an enormous boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes more quickly.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most popular. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and rebuilt with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a certain range of values it can improve a stat by, and the value is displayed when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase, with certain unlimited-use tools as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt has a chance to drop one of the various Glyphs as well as some rare glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.

Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you will need them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph will unlock a unique bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, therefore it is best to put Glyphs in strategic locations on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. Druids for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They might also want to consider placing them near their critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The system of upgrading items allows players to increase the performance of specific items by putting upgraded components in them. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385 ilvl. Each level of item requires various components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be bought from NPCs, or on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. When enough points have been earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and get its extra bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced by an item that is new. The same armor can be transformed into an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will also have its own set bonus. This could be a drawback in that the item could increase in price even if you don't require it.

Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do this. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a base of level 1 and completely different bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, however it shouldn't be repeated often, as it could waste lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like dolphins). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by an increment of 10. This item can be very valuable in PvP, as a perfectly rolled version of it could be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.

Requirements

The item upgrader lets players increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor weapons, weapons, and trinkets) above ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense and weapon upgrades items increase their base damage and also increase their strength and dexterity.

All items are upgradeable up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to return to its original condition, which requires the player to pay for more resources than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item does not upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it gained like crit chance attack damage, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time, or reloading speed). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.

If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from lowest to highest. This means that, when a weapon gains an increase in the chance of crit it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. A new attribute called Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item upgrade. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will come with a much lower cost for each upgrade.

Premium items may have different upgrade requirements than normal equipment. For example, they may need fewer sowels, but more minerals and orons. Players will still have to take every piece of equipment they wish to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade requires different amounts of ingredients needed to upgrade, in addition to the cost listed above.
