robots that vacuum and mop (via)
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one session without the need to change devices. They can also reduce space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that can automatically empty their bin, refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads with a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer at a modest price and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide will have you up and running in no time. It comes with an entire dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The automatic vacuum and mop has four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you pick the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For example, you can opt for the robot to clean up the living and kitchen areas but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors as well as smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models can't. The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but a quick glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A large LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance jobs need to be done including emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner with a 600ml of eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time as well, with the mop being capable of running for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, Robots that vacuum and mop and the vacuum able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum best mop and vacuum, is the newest version. In contrast to the model of last year, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to remove small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
The Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like furniture, walls, and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It then can automatically alter its direction and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular style is attractive and it has just three physical buttons: the power button, which also resumes cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto vacuum and mop-refills.
The only negative I discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if needed) but it's a challenge to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've found that any plush carpet the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these using the Roborock app, which is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's life. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum mop cleaner robot and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its clever design permits personalized and efficient cleaning, while saving you time.

The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
Another standout feature is the X40's extendable and liftable side brush which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners and clean furniture such as table and chair legs. The robot mop is also able to reach under furniture that is low-profile which makes it a great choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush automatically tilts down when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 to prevent damage to floors from repeated back-and-forth movements.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or separately. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, or reverse the process. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 is equipped with many clever features that are easy to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at certain times. The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with numerous features that make it a great choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and mop pads before refilling them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it overflows, reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive models available however, it comes with many additional features that make it stand out. The mops come with a brand new feature called Smart DuoScrub. This uses two high-speed mops to clean floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles - and also pick up spills and wet spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station every time they are used. This is an excellent feature since it prevents the build-up of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature has yet to be seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and it could be a useful way of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There are plenty of options, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app lets you define these preferences, or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning routine, and there are a lot of features that other robots don't have - such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, instead of using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots listed on this list but it's not excessively heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors as well as in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice touch.
